New organs, one of the most professional work of "Vilnius organs workshop" started to play in June of 1984 in the history museum of Nida (now - Evangelical Lutheran church). The international festivals of organs are being organized since that time already for twenty-five years in Nida. These festivals are capable to retain dozens of faithful admires. An international festival "Organ summer" lasts from 2002 and continues a longevous tradition of Nida organs festivals. Currently it is the only one regular event representing the professional culture of organs in Curonian Spit.  

As usual the programmes of the Festival reflected the wide panorama of organ music: from the old Masters up to improvisations - when music was born at the same time it was played.

The 8th International Festival "Organ Summer" will take place on May 30 - July 4, 2009 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nida.
