International Bard's Song Festival "It's Me"

Festival IT'S ME is being held in Vilnius’ Teachers' House - the main organizational body of the festival – on 3rd week of October.
The Festival concerts took place not only in Vilnius but also in many Lithuanian towns such as Kaunas, Alytus, Pasvalys, Skapiškis.
This Festival is the only one of the kind of that genre in the Baltic countries. It concludes the experience of bard performances, which regularly take place in Vilnius’ Teachers' House, and provides Lithuanian audience with possibility to get acquainted with foreign bards and their music. Bards from England, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland, Spain, Latvia take part in the Festival. Famous Lithuanian bards such as V. Kernagis, K. Smoriginas, O. Ditkovskis, S.Bareikis, G. Storpirštis perform on the Festival stage as well.
Full concert halls show the importance and necessity of the festival. It is becoming an important part of cultural life in Lithuania.
Participants from the countries with old traditions of this genre still can find something to learn from their Lithuanian colleagues and share their experience. The main thing they are astonished with is our audience. They find it amazing, motivated, and sensitive.
Young performers have a possibility to realize and show themselves during the festival workshops, and participate in ‘Staying till dawn…’ It’s an important focus on the educational aspect of involving young people to be a part of this festival.
We believe this Festival will become widely known in Lithuania and abroad, and bards will grow fond of Vilnius as a perfect meeting place.
